Water Color of Chris by Brad Samojla

Painting by Brad Samojla

I live to skate, it is my life.  I love a good Mini Ramp, Vert Ramp or a clean Bowl to rip in.  Since moving to Winthrop Maine, I have competed in many events in New England and I am always one of the top skaters in my age group.   Below are links to photo's and videos from when I skated in Texas and since I have been in Maine.  New material will be added often so check back soon for updates.

June 2007

I was picked up as a Regional Team Rider for Z-Flex skateboards.  The east coast rep was at Rye and likes the way I skate so we talked about it.  It's a good fit and I am excited to ride for Z-Flex.  I am stoked to ride some of the old Retro Boards and demo their product.  While I am sad to leave Alva , I felt it was time to move on.  Thanks Tony for all you have done and I look forward to skating with you in the future.

Having a blast on the "Z-Flex" Jay Adams Cruiser in Lewiston

May 2007

I was picked up as a Regional Team Rider for Bern.  It has been great being a flow rider but it's better getting the bump to the next level.  I am so stoked to be with them and look forward to many more years with Bern.

Chris and Mike Powers of  ECAS -  Can you tell this is Chris's ride to the park?

March 2007

ReGYN Wheels has picked me up.  Wow,  how cool to have a wheel sponsor.  Props to Wil Waldon for droppin my name to them out in SD.  I really like the wheel.  It's a smooth ride on the street and in the park.  They are holding up really well and I would get a set if I were you.  You won't be disappointed in them.

Having fun at Bath Skatepark with my new ReGYN Wheels

June 2006

This has been another great month.  I went to Vert week at Woodward West. It was great but no Vert instructors.  Another highlight this month is being picked up by Bern Helmets and Spy Optics Flow Teams.

April 2006

I went to the Eastern Skateboard Supply event in North Carolina and was picked up to ride for Tony Alva.  We had a great session on the half pipe on Friday. Then Saturday afternoon he let me know that he was going to sponsor me.  I look forward to riding for Alva Skateboards.  I also got a flow ride for Indo Boards - they are great for working on your balance.

Tony Alva and I in North Carolina the day before he picked me up as a rider for Team Alva.  I got to ride with Tony for an hour on the Half Pipe behind us.  It was a great session. Going big on the Vert Ramp on my new Alva board at Rye  "Team Alva Rocks"

Doug Brown Pro for Softrucks in "NC"    Super Cool dude.  Look for a shot of me in his new DVD

John "The Man" Reeves Pro for Softrucks in "NC"  Great guy and awesome friend  I love hangin with this guy

July 2005

Great News - I have been picked up by Softrucks and Twin City Boarders skate shop and still skate for "The Park" in Bath Maine.  Check them out, they have been very good to me and will hook you up as well.  Tell them I sent you!

Joe Raia of Softrucks.  My first big sponsor.

Softrucks are a great way to learn your flip tricks and a blast to practice on when the park is rained out.
What are you waiting for?  Go out and get some.  I use mine all the time.

Ripping it up at "The Park" in Bath Maine.  They have a tight, fun bowl with a spine to 6ft half pipe

2002 and 2003

I was a Team Member of  Ramp Ranch Skatepark in Liberty Hill Texas for two years and was also a flow rider for Avoid Skateboards of Lewisville Texas for 18 months.  I competed in numerous competitions through out Texas and consistently placed in the top of my age group.  I qualified for Home Town Rising and Burning Across America Finals.  I took 2nd in the Mini Ramp contest for 13 and Over in the Burning Across America contest in Clearwater Florida.  I also qualified for the 12 and Under Street finals at this event.

A couple of shots of me in Texas - I think I was 10 in the first shot and 11 in the other 2.  Leander Middle school had thisgreat ledge.  I could always be found on the airing out of the 6ft at Ramp Ranch  They had a great hand rail as well.  That park is the Bomb - stop in when you visit Austin .
